Thoughtful Answers Before You Begin

Choosing where and how you train is an important decision. Here is what you can expect from the Roots experience.

What makes the Roots approach different?

Roots combines individualized programming with attentive coaching in an intentionally small setting.

Each member follows a program shaped by their assessment, movement history, abilities, and goals. With three to five people training at a time, your coach can observe your movement, refine your exercises, and follow your progress closely.

Who is Roots designed for?

Roots adult memberships are designed primarily for men and women 40 and beyond who want to build lasting strength, improve mobility, and remain active and capable for years to come.

Separate Athlete Performance Training is available for middle school and high school athletes.

How do I get started?

Your experience begins with a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation. We will learn about your goals, training history, current concerns, and what you hope to accomplish.

When you are ready to continue, we will schedule your 45-minute in-person postural and movement assessment. The assessment is $125 and is applied in full toward your membership when you enroll.

What is included with membership?

Every Roots membership includes:

  • A comprehensive initial assessment
  • An individualized training program
  • Coaching in a group of three to five
  • Ongoing progress reviews and movement reassessments
  • Program adjustments as your needs evolve
  • Access to your exercises through the Trainerize app
  • Additional coaching and guidance between sessions
Can my program accommodate previous injuries or time away from exercise?

Yes. Your program begins with your current abilities and progresses at an appropriate pace.

Previous injuries, movement limitations, and recommendations from your physician or physical therapist are considered when developing your training. Medical clearance may be requested when appropriate.

How does scheduling work?

Your membership reserves recurring capacity within the Roots coaching schedule.

With at least 24 hours’ notice, you may request another available training time. Rescheduling is subject to availability. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are counted as completed sessions.

Membership pricing is based on approximately 50 training weeks each year, with 14 days built in for travel, holidays, and other interruptions. Sessions are designed to be used within your regular membership schedule and expire according to your membership terms.

How do I end my membership?

Your membership agreement will clearly explain cancellation methods, billing dates, freezes, and all applicable membership terms before you enroll.

What is Athlete Performance Training?

Athlete Performance Training helps middle school and high school athletes develop strength, coordination, movement quality, confidence, and physical readiness for their sport.

Middle school athletes train at 4:00 p.m., and high school athletes train at 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. An initial movement assessment is included in each athlete’s first session.
